Field Trip Time!

We decided to go to the Mpls Institute of Arts. Jelly Man has been learning about Rembrandt and Picasso. He was thrilled to go see a piece or two of their work--in *real life*...so off we went to Mpls.
I absolutely LOVE taking pictures of this museum! I think it is so beautiful!!

Jelly Man was just given directions to where he can find some work by Rembrandt.

We had enough time to see about 1/2 the museum...we cannot wait to go back and see the rest. It was a fabulous time!

Summer Reading

We went to the library last night to sign up for the summer reading program. Jelly Man also was excited to sign up for the tween book club.  I am not sure which Jelly Man thought was more exciting the book club OR that he was eligible for the TWEEN book club.....Ughhhhh.....so not ready for him to be a teenager!! I look at him and still see my precious baby boy.

He is starting his summer reading with, "Oathbreaker Assassin's Apprentice."
So many books - so little summer...

Jelly Man made me pop tarts for Momma's Day! Peanut Butter supplied the fillings for the pop tarts.

One second he is working hard and the next second he is making me laugh...

I love his sense of humor! He makes me LOL every single day! I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to homeschool him--that I do not have to share him with the public school....

Spring is NOT here....

Jelly Man was all excited thinking Spring was finally here.....only to wake up to 29 degrees and snowflakes in the air today! Needless to say--he is not happy that he cannot run around outside in a t-shirt. I am not happy-since the cold makes my pain kick in a little more ... The one good thing that the cold does do --it gets Jelly Man curled up in front of the fire reading!! I would prefer that he was doing his science, social studies, math, etc... but for right this moment I am content with him reading. He is totally absorbed in the book, "Seekers-Smoke Mountain." Even though I am not happy about the cold or my pain-I am so extremely thankful that we have decided to homeschool for moments like this! Moments that I can look up from where I am sitting and I can see him sitting--looking totally content, warm, safe, happy, cuddly, cute as he sits twisting his hair as he reads....I just want to lock this memory in my memory bank forever.....
